Vegan Salami – part 2 – made and not happy

I think it is my fault – I think I didn’t do it right when cooking it. The taste is lovely the texture, however, is a bit rubbery. It doesn’t work for me on sandwiches and stuff, but I will try to fry it and use it in sauces and stuff.

On the other hand I am so happy about my discovery of Liquid Smoke. When I was pregnant I was graving barbecue sauce from MacDonald a lot. Now, I hate and despise MacDonald with all my heart but while pregnant I had to give in – the barbecue sauce was the only thing that could keep the never ending morning sickness at bay. And the Liquid Smoke smells exactly like the barbecue sauce – so I will attempt to recreate it – woohoo. See there is the proof – there is no such thing as failure only lessons learned and that is not a bad thing. Gosh how pleased will my husband be to hear me say something like that.
